Revolutionizing Nutrient Efficiency and Plant Health with Carbon Boost-S

When Carbon Boost-S is added to existing soil fertilizer applications, plants are more rapidly and efficiently able to absorb and translocate vital nutrients than before. Carbon Boost-S utilizes technology to promote plant health, increase crop yields, increase nutrient efficiency, reduced soil chemistry tie-ups and reduced crop stress. It is formulated to promote strong plant growth under stressful environmental conditions (i.e., cold, wet soils, drought stress, compaction, pH extremes, excess sand content, etc.).

Research

Five years of research have consistently shown yield increases when comparing Carbon Boost-S to grower-standard fertilizer programs.

  • Increases Rooting
  • Increases Crop Yield
  • Improves Chlorophyll
  • Can Be Applied To Any Crop

Carbon Boost-S On Field Corn

In 2007 and 2008 there were numerous randomized, replicated field trials conducted by independent, third party researchers as well as field demonstration trials in locations across North America using Carbon Boost-S on corn.

Despite the variety of locations, corn yields increased in 26 out of the 30 trials, for a success rate of 86.7%. The average increase was 10.2 bushels per acre.

Most of the results follow this trend, but there were results on both end of the scale that skewed high or on the negative side. The extremely high test occurred during a field trial conducted in Ohio during a drought year. The test on the negative end of the scale was conducted in Canada. Based on the soil tests, this test plot already contained a large amount of Nitrogen. With the addition of Carbon Boost-S and additional Nitrogen, the plants were receiving too much N and yields began to drop.

Application Rates & Methods

In Furrow or Pop-Up Fertilizers: Mix 6-8 ounces per acre of Carbon Boost-S with on-the-seed applied fertilzers.

Dry Granular Fertilizers: Coat 1-4 quarts per acre of Carbon Boost-S onto each ton of dry fertilizr, depending on the final rate of application of fertilizer to the field. The final applied fertilizer should carry 8-12 ounces per acre of Carbon Boost-S to the soil.

Banded Fertilizers: Mix a total of 8-12 ounces per acre of Carbon Boost-S with under-the-seed or side dress banded liquid fertilizers, depending on rates.  Higher rates of fertilizer require the higher label rates of Carbon Boost-S.

Broadcast Liquid Fertilizers: Mix 8-12 ounces per acre with chemical applications or suspensions.

Irrigation Systems: Can be applied at 8-12 ounces per acre by itself or mixed with fertilizer.

Compatibility

Carbon Boost-S is compatible with most NPK fertilizers regardless of pH.  It is also compatible with most fertilizers that contain major and micronutrients.  However, a standard jar test is always recommended before tank mixing.
