About the Mid-South Farm & Gin Show [press release]
One of the South’s largest indoor trade shows, featuring interactive exhibits from across the nation, is set for February 26-27, 2010 at the Memphis Cook Convention Center, Memphis, Tenn.

For nearly 60 years, the Mid-South Farm and Gin Show has been a mainstay in the Mid-South growing into exhibitors from 46 states and several foreign countries. The show attracts thousands from a multi-state region for a first-look at innovative technology and the latest information on the challenging issues in the agricultural industry.

“Every year is very different and our Show has become a leading forum, a sort of agricultural bellwether, for the state of the industry beginning a new crop year. After the rollercoaster ride of 2008, there is an unusually early interest in how these sectors will all come together and the timing, history and scope of our event will be looked upon with even more anticipation,” said Timothy Price, show manager. “We are at a juncture now of learning how to operate – how to survive -- in this new environment; it’s the new normal.”

More than 20,000 domestic and international decision-makers are expected to attend the event which includes over 400 interactive exhibits. Those attending will see the familiar and the cutting edge; new technologies in seed and crop inputs, new equipment and updated machinery, all designed to make farming easier and potentially more profitable.

Educational Ag Update seminars will be held on Friday and Saturday. Speakers and topics are yet to be determined, but will include grain and cotton outlooks, and comments from several industry officials. Special topic seminars are also being planned for Saturday afternoon.

Exhibit hours at the Mid-South Farm & Gin Show are Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 4:30 PM. Visitors who view the exhibit areas are eligible for prizes, which will be awarded each afternoon, including over $2,000 in attendance prizes awarded daily.  For additional information, contact Price at 901.947.3104 or visit the website: www.farmandginshow.com
