International Ag Expert Joins FBS as Consultant in Argentina

Floratine BioSciences (FBS) has named international agriculture expert, Roberto A. Peiretti, Ing. Agr., as its South American Executive Consultant. As a pioneer and developer of no-till farming methods, agri-business consultant and farmer in Argentina for the last 30 years, Peiretti has been a key figure in developing international agricultural relationships for Argentina.

He is a founding member of the Argentinean No Till Farmers Association (AAPRESID) and a two-term president of the American Confederation of Farmers Organizations for Sustainable Agriculture (CAAPAS).

On the global stage, Peiretti has been a speaker at more than sixty conferences and lectures in countries such as Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Chile, England, France, Holland, Mexico, Paraguay, Spain, South Africa, URSS, Ukraine, Uruguay, and the United States. He also has published more than twenty papers, media articles or extension notes related to no-till farming practices and written a chapter in Globalization and the Rural Environment, Harvard Press, 2001.

Peiretti earned a degree in Agronomy Engineering from Cordoba National University and was a Visiting Fulbright Scholar at Oklahoma State University, where he received his Master of Science in Agronomy.

One of Peiretti’s primary initiatives has been to promote quality and efficiency in agriculture in Argentina, a goal that is synergistic with FBS’ mission of providing growers with optimal plant health and performance using economic and environmentally efficient technologies. In his role as South American Executive Consultant, Peiretti will serve as FBS’ advisor and relationship manager with South American agri-businesses, assisting with the company’s business development in Argentina and other areas of South America. 

Through his existing relationships with AAPRESID, Peiretti also is helping arrange field trials to test CarbonPower® products on corn, soybeans, wheat, potatoes and sunflowers. Trial work will begin soon to evaluate Zicron-S, Carbon Boost-S, KAFÉ-F, Manron-F, Boron Boost-F, and Carbon Heart-F.
