FBSciences' Technology Enhances Cotton Nutrient Efficiency
January 4th, 2010
MEMPHIS, Tennessee – FBSciences, Inc. is excited about adding cotton to its focus crops for its new technology. Dr. John Bradley, Vice President of Technical Sales Development, said, “Our technology increases efficiency of fertilization and nutrient management for cotton growers.
“Carbon Boost is our premier product for improving nutrient utilization with fertilizer and nutrients in the soil. We’ve seen promising results in our validation trials using it with starter fertilizer and sidedress fertilizer in cotton, and with our basic fertilizer program. It can be impregnated on dry fertilizers or be mixed with any liquid fertilizers, including sidedress nitrogen. In addition to cotton, Carbon Boost works great on other crops planted across the Cotton Belt.
“We’ve been in this business for five years and we are increasing our focus on cotton, which is reflected in the recent addition of Scott Sivils as our new Regional Sales Manager for the Midsouth. Sivils will enable FBSciences to increase its presence in the Midsouth, and he will be instrumental to introducing and validating our new technology in the region.”
Sivils has 18 years of sales, marketing and communication experience in the Midsouth, and has developed an extensive network of contacts throughout the region. He formerly worked with cotton merchant giant Weil Brothers Cotton, Inc. where he aggressively cultivated new cotton buying opportunities in the five-state region. He also daily compiled regional market and crop condition information. Earlier, he worked as the Midsouth Pool Manager with Beltwide Cotton Cooperative, and as a sales representative with Swayze Brokerage Company.
Additionally, FBSciences recently received Federal registration for a new biopesticide. “We’re pleased with Carbon Boost and our other products, and we’re excited about our new ones that we’ll introduce shortly,” Bradley said. “For example, we have received Federal registration for a new biopesticide that can be used in rice. We invite growers, consultants and university personnel to go to our website where they can access our product data and information.”
The company is also proud to announce that it is changing its name from Floratine BioSciences, Inc. to FBSciences, Inc. “We’re basically simplifying our name,” Bradley explained. “The name change highlights our dedication to providing innovative, science-based solutions for achieving greater yields and higher quality crops through better nutrient efficiency.”About FBSciences
