FBSciences Selects Jay Irvine to Manage Western U.S. Sales

FBSciences (Floratine BioSciences) has tapped Jay Irvine to manage the company's Western U.S. sales from Visalia, California. He will oversee the western region, which includes Arizona, California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington, and will be personally responsible for sales in the northwest.
Beginning November 10, Irvine will replace Walt Johnson, who is leaving to pursue a management position with agricultural supplier AG RX. Johnson will continue to maintain a relationship with FBSciences as a senior consultant and advisor.
Irvine has 20 years of leadership experience in the crop protection and fertilizer industry and a proven track record of increasing company revenues and market share. In addition to sales and marketing, he has worked in business development and R&D management roles. He has spent most of the last 16 years with Monterey Ag Resources, becoming Vice President Marketing in 2001.
Irvine earned a B.S. in Ag Business Marketing and Economics from CSU Fresno. He also is a licensed California Pest Control Advisor and active member of CAPCA.
His other professional activities include the Organic Fertilizer Association of California; Central California Winegrowers Board; Fresno State University, Department of Ag Business Advisory Board; Western Plant Health Association; Association of Applied Insect Ecologist; and Alpha Gamma Rho National Agricultural Fraternity.
