Brian Goodwin

Brian Goodwin

CEO — Mr. Goodwin was President and CEO of Floratine Products Group, Inc., before selling that company in September 2007, and forming FBS. He first joined Floratine in 1996 as director of international marketing and established a distributor network in more than 43 countries. Prior to Floratine, he was with Acadian Seaplants Ltd., a bio-nutrient company in Canada, where he was instrumental in the creation of international sales and marketing systems. 

Mr. Goodwin attended St. Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, studying political science and geographic sciences.

Peter Stromberg

Peter Stromberg

President — Mr. Stromberg served as executive vice president and international market manager for Floratine Products Group, Inc., before selling the company with Mr. Goodwin in September 2007, and forming FBS.  He became a member of the Floratine team in 2001, when he joined as a marketing consultant for the European division. Previously, Mr. Stromberg was an Assistant Professor of International Business in the graduate program at Christian Brothers University in Memphis.  He also has worked extensively throughout the U.S. and Europe as a business consultant and a turf advisor. 

Mr. Stromberg holds an International M.B.A. from the University of Memphis.

David Zaleski

David Zaleski

CFO — Mr. Zaleski comes to FBS with more than 25 years of broad-based financial experience in a variety of manufacturing industries, including 17 years in the medical device business. His financial experience includes working for a number of large publicly-traded companies and private companies, including Schering-Plough in Memphis, Wright Medical, Inc., and WM Barr, Inc. He also co-founded a venture-backed trauma company and served as its CFO. Most recently, Mr. Zaleski served as CFO and VP of Human Resources of Luminetx, a start-up medical technology company. 

Mr. Zaleski has a B.A. in Economics and Business from Hendrix College and holds an M.B.A in finance from the University of Memphis.

Collie Lowrance

Collie Lowrance

EVP of Business Development & General Counsel —  Before joining FBS in 2007, Mr. Lowrance was Managing Director of Investment Banking and General Counsel for Wunderlich Securities.  Prior to that he was a partner at the Bass, Berry & Sims law firm.  During his 15 years of practicing law and investment banking, Mr. Lowrance worked in various areas such as mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buy-outs, joint ventures, re-capitalizations, equity and debt financings (including venture capital and private equity fund financing and private and public offerings), corporate and tax planning, and transaction negotiation and structuring.

Mr. Lowrance holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a J.D. from Tulane University School of Law, and a L.L.M. in Taxation from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.  Mr. Lowrance is licensed to practice law in both Tennessee and Arkansas.

Mr. Lowrance’s family has been engaged in farming in Northeast Arkansas since the beginning of the 20th Century.

Bill Zimmer

Bill Zimmer

Executive Director of Sales — Mr. Zimmer started his career farming, and then worked for 25 years in the agri-business industry in the pesticide and crop nutrition sectors.  Mr. Zimmer has spent most of his career with BASF where he held various sales and management positions.  Mr. Zimmer now covers the North American market for FBS.

Mr. Zimmer graduated from Ontario Agriculture College at the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada, with an associate diploma in Agriculture.
