William Brent Akin
Director of Operations
Mr. Akin has over 25 years experience in consulting, business development, and strategic acquisitions. He has worked within various industries in both national and international business planning, sales, and customer support. Mr. Akin has also worked with numerous non-profit and Christian organizations to develop and fund projects designed to provide sustainable farming and agribusiness solutions to impoverished people in developing countries.
Mr. Akin has a B.A. from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
Lamar Fink
Production Manager
Mr. Fink brings a strong background of farming industry, management and production experience to FBSciences. Mr. Fink worked for 12 ½ years as a production quality control manager with Horizon Ag, overseeing operations in the Pacific Northwest. He spent a year in Collierville, Tennessee, helping set up the custom manufacturing facility for Floratine Products Group before joining FBSciences.
At FBSciences' facility in Visalia, California, Mr. Fink is in charge of all FBSciences products manufactured, packaged and shipped to points around the globe. Prior to his plant management experience, he worked in sales and logistics within the farming industry.
Bill Elliott
Analytical Chemist
Mr. Elliott has extensive experience in the field of Microbiology and its related agricultural issues. He most recently was on the laboratory staff at the Internal Medicine Associates Laboratory in Fresno, California where he maintained the laboratory information system. Earlier, Mr. Elliott was laboratory director at Twining Laboratories in Fresno, directing a 35-member staff performing environmental analysis. Before then, he was laboratory manager at the Dairy America Pathogen Laboratory in Tulare, California, where he directed a 15-member staff performing quantitative and qualitative microbiological analysis. For seven years Mr. Elliott served as project manager at Agricultural and Priority Pollutants Laboratories in Fresno. Additionally, he was public health (PH) microbiologist and senior PH microbiologist at the Fresno County Public Health Laboratory.
Mr. Elliott earned his BS in microbiology at CSU Long Beach, and has undergone comprehensive additional training, including Hazardous Materials Management, and OSHA Training Hazardous Waste Operations.
Salvador Franco, Jr.
Production & Warehouse Foreman
Mr. Franco brings a wealth of experience in supervision, communication, leadership and organizational skills. His responsibilities include supervising and training warehouse and production staff, and working directly with top company executives on streamlining budget and optimizing shipping procedures. Before joining FBSciences, Mr. Franco worked in warehousing and inventory control for Schwan’s, Kaweah Delta Hospital and Wal-Mart—all in California.
Mr. Franco graduated from Woodlake High School in California.
