Dr Duncan Web

David Duncan, Ph.D.

CEO

Before joining FBSciences, Dr. Duncan was CEO of Pasteuria Bioscience, where he led the company through its first successful EPA registration and commercial launch of a biological nematicide for use on turf grass; and, most recently completed an exclusive technology partnership with Syngenta. In his role as CEO for Chlorogen, Dr. Duncan helped raise $10M in two series of financing for the young biopharmaceutical company that developed and manufactured proteins for human therapy. Dr. Duncan also served in various roles, including product development (US & Canada); marketing; government and regulatory affairs; and as both a commercial development and business unit executive during his 22 years at Monsanto Company. He was credited for helping the company transition from a traditional agricultural chemical company into the world's leading producer of agricultural biotechnology products.

Dr. Duncan received a B.S. degree in biology from Indiana State University and both an M.S. in agronomy/turf grass management and a Ph.D. in herbicide physiology from Michigan State University. Dr. Duncan serves on the boards and committees of several organizations.

David Zalenski

David Zaleski

CFO & COO

Mr. Zaleski comes to FBSciences with more than 25 years of broad-based financial experience in a variety of manufacturing industries, including 17 years in the medical device business. His financial experience includes working for a number of large publicly-traded companies and private companies, including Schering-Plough in Memphis, Wright Medical, Inc., and WM Barr, Inc. He also co-founded a venture-backed trauma company and served as its CFO. Most recently, Mr. Zaleski served as CFO and VP of Human Resources of Luminetx, a start-up medical technology company. 

Mr. Zaleski has a B.A. in Economics and Business from Hendrix College and holds an M.B.A in finance from the University of Memphis.

Peter Stromberg

Executive Vice President of Corporate Strategy

Mr. Stromberg served as executive vice president and international market manager for Floratine Products Group, Inc., before selling the company with Mr. Goodwin in September 2007, and forming FBSciences. He became a member of the Floratine team in 2001, when he joined as a marketing consultant for the European division. Previously, Mr. Stromberg was an Assistant Professor of International Business in the graduate program at Christian Brothers University in Memphis.  He also has worked extensively throughout the U.S. and Europe as a business consultant and a turf advisor.

Mr. Stromberg holds an International M.B.A. from the University of Memphis.

Brian Goodwin

Executive Vice President of Commercial Development

Mr. Goodwin was President and CEO of Floratine Products Group, Inc., before selling that company in September 2007, and forming FBSciences. He first joined Floratine in 1996 as director of international marketing and established a distributor network in more than 43 countries. Prior to Floratine, he was with Acadian Seaplants Ltd., a bio-nutrient company in Canada, where he was instrumental in the creation of international sales and marketing systems.

Mr. Goodwin attended St. Mary’s University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, studying political science and geographic sciences.
